Get-Paid-To Sites

I never knew that get-paid-to-do-whatever sites existed until I started reading up on some posts from moms at Cafemom.com. This is where I learned about Hits4Pay and InboxDollars and AWSurveys. It is also through Cafemom.com that I learned how people market these things and in return, make a couple of dollars.

InboxDollars is just one of many sites that pay you cents for viewing an advertisement, a dollar a survey each day and a few more dollars to complete their offers. Upon registration, you are given an automatic $5 and additional $5 for each referral you can get. The downside is that you get your $5 per each referral once they reach the threshold of $30. So it's not automatic. Out of the three that I mentioned, I would say that InboxDollars is the least of my favourites just because it takes forever to actually reach their threshold provided that you do not complete any of their offers. I don't like to complete those offers just because I am required, most of the time, to enter a credit card number. You can do see if you qualify for a survey everyday for a dollar each but even with that, I didn't qualify for many surveys. Plus, they take at least 20 minutes of answering annoying questions. Their pay for each advertisement read is very low compared to Hits4Pay.

AWSurveys is a website that pays for your reviews of websites according to their layout and appearance. You receive $6 upon registration and each referral you have is $1.25. I don't like their high threshold of $75. I'm no where near that since I'm not one to bother all my friends to register just to get $1.25. So, I'm not anticipating any check from them anytime soon.

Hits4Pay is one website, I can say, that really works for me. I was given an automatic $10 upon my registration and I was promised 2 cents for each advertisement that is delivered to me. I was lucky enough to realized the kinds of advertisements that would most probably be abundant in their "database" therefore, I chose such categories and hoped to receive advertisements. Sure enough, I received them. Now, I've only received $25 from them so far but that is a whole lot better than what I received of either InboxDollars or AWSurveys which by the way, amount to nothing! This website gives you a penny for each ad that your referral views. I don't have many referrals but somehow, over some time, I was able to receive some real cash and I'm about to receive another $25 soon!

There so many other Get-Paid-To sites out there and you can really make money from them. It just depends on how badly you want to make them. Personally, I'm weary about giving out any credit card number attached to my name which is really what is asked of you if you really want to make a good amount.

My very first blog!

I don't really know how to start one of these so I'll just take it one post at a time.

My name is Christine - 24 (soon to be a quarter of a century) years old, wife, mommy, sister, daughter, aunt and sister-in-law. I'm currently adjusting to my new roles as a wife to the most wonderful husband, Luis and as a mommy to the most beautiful baby, Bella.

When I'm not cleaning the house, doing the laundry, cooking or taking care of Bella, you'll most likely find me online. Before I got married, my presence in the internet can only be detected when I would check my emails. Now that I've moved far away from the home that I know and now living in the good old South, alone (thank goodness I have Bella now!) until Luis comes home, I'm finding myself in front of this laptop discovering many avenues that I never knew existed in the internet. The turns that I've taken using these avenues have brought me to be a Turker Mom.

I'm getting ahead of myself. This all started when I moved down to the States. I got married on new year's eve of 2005. As a Canadian, I had to wait for my green card in order to work. That seemed forever to happen and when it finally did, I already had a 3-day old little Bella. So my start of searching for making money online began.

Believe it or not, you can make money online. I know what you're thinking, "This blog is going to be about those get-rich-online stuff." I'm actually here to tell you that maybe some people do get rich but I personally don't know anyone who is raking in all the cash from the internet. I will shamefully admit that we, being my husband and I, bit into those get rich stuff for a season until we came to ourselves and realized that it wasn't for us. Unlike those who I've heard who lost thousands of dollars from these things, we, fortunately, didn't lose any money. We just made sure that there was such thing as a refund policy to anything that we contemplated on joining.

With that experience, I found out about Cafemom.com where all these moms communicate and it was there that I discovered that I wasn't alone in being a new mommy looking for ways to make money online. It was through moms, just like me, that I found out ways to make a few cents here and there and over time, I actually had a check in my name for a few dollars.

Have you ever gotten spammed with advertisements for just about anything? Well, I found out that I can actually get paid to view those ads! It was a mere 2 cents per ad with Hits4Pay but I already received $25 in the mail and I'm getting ready to reach my next $25. I know of other get-paid-to-read ads but I found Hits4Pay to be the one that works for me. I've also done surveys but I was unfortunately not too patient enough for them. There are also these web sites that give you money if you complete some of their offers. Some don't require credit card numbers but some do.

Well, I don't know how I got here but I guess this shows a little bit of a background as to why this blog is called Turker Mom. I guess I'll speak about being a turker in a separate post all together.
